Alex founded Built by AI to make useful technology more accessible. He leads every project and joins the first conversation, working alongside a small group of developers he has delivered projects with before.
His experience spans healthcare operations, medical-device quality management, AI call handling and business websites. That range brings a practical perspective to each new project: understand the need, choose the right tools and build something people can use.
You’ll know who is doing the work, have a direct line to the team, and see the project take shape as we build.

Efficient tools and a focused team help us price for the work involved. Hosting, domains, model usage and licences go on your accounts at cost, and you own what we build for you.

We plan for your privacy and data-residency obligations, explain which providers handle your information, and turn off training on your data wherever the provider offers that option. Sensitive workloads can be designed to stay within your environment.

Hours and response
Monday to Friday, 9–6 Eastern, with email replies within one business day. We do not offer contractual 24/7 staffed support; we’ll discuss any additional support requirements during scoping.
Contracts and invoicing
Plain-language agreements, Ontario law. One fixed price agreed before work starts. HST on Canadian invoices. Interac, wire, or card.
Insurance and compliance
Happy to provide proof of coverage, sign your NDA, and complete vendor security questionnaires. Just ask during scoping.
Project fit
We work best on focused projects and ongoing improvements. If the scope requires a large on-site team or broader coverage, we’ll help you assess what’s needed and recommend another partner when appropriate.
Responsible work
We build with respect for the people using and affected by the work. We do not take on personal-data scraping, mass unsolicited outreach, engagement farming or projects designed to deceive.
